National Election Commission Has Issued Gazette Notification Containing Names Of Parliament Elects

National Election Commission has

issued the Gazette Notification including the names of elected Parliamentarians from the Parliamentary elections held last Wednesday  (05).

The gazette Notification had been issued last night and includes the names of  196 Parliament elects of all political parties  representing each District. 

Repatriation Of Sri Lankans In Abroad Due To Pandamic Has Re Commenced Yesterday (08)-Group Of Sri Lankans Arrived From UAE ,Qatar And China

A group of Sri Lankans stranded at

United Arab Emirates (UAE),Qatar and China Due to corona pandamic including 16 Embassy staff had arrived at Katunayake International Airport both yesterday  (08) and today  (09) according to Airport officials.

Accordingly 420 Sri Lankans stranded in United Arab Emirates had arrived at Katunayake Airport from a special flight this morning (09) and another group of 43 Sri Lankans including 16 Embassy staff had arrived at Katunayake Airport from Qatar this morning .

Accordingly special Sri Lankan Airlines Flight Had Brought Back 112 Sri Lankans stranded in China yesterday (08).

"PCR "tests had performed for All these Passangers at the Airport and later they were transported to quarantine Centers for 14 day quarantine process.

Sri Lanka had re commenced  the repatriation of Sri Lankans stranded in Foreign countries due to pandamic yesterday  (08)after halting it few days back due to the Parliamentary elections.

Twelve Corona Positives Had Been Discharged From Hospitals Yesterday (08)

A total of 12 Corona positives had been

discharged from Hospitals last  morning  (08)after full recovery according to Epidemeology Unit.

Accordingly the total number of Corona positives discharged from hospitals so far had risen to 2576 .

Two Corona Positives Reported Today (08)

Two Corona Positives had been

reported in the country today (08)increasing the total number of Corona positives reported so far to 2841 according to the Epidemeology Unit .

Accordingly Two arrivals from Saudi Arabia who are being quarantined at a quarantine center had tested positive for Corona virus. 

At the moment 254 Corona positives are being treated at Government Hospitals.
