278 Sri Lankans Stranded In England Had Been Brought Back To Sri Lanka

A special Sri Lankan Airlines flight
carrying 278 Sri lankans stranded in England due to Corona  pandamic had touched down the Katunayake International Airport in wee hours of this morning (07).

The group of Sri lankan passangers had been brought back from Heathrow International Airport in London and they along with the Cabin crew of the flight had been disinfected at the Airport  and undergone a "PCR " Test to check their Corona status  it has been revealed.

Until receiving the test reports the passangers and the cabin crew had been transported to 04 hotels located around the Airport .


Two Youth Had Died Due To An Electrocution Whilst Plucking A Jack Fruit

Two youth had died due to an
electrocution whilst attempting to Pluck a jack fruit at Katawela area in Matale yesterday  (06) according to the Police .

The two youth had died after a branch of a Jack tree which had fallen after colliding with a High power extension  line in to the lorry where the youth  were in.

The two youth who had died due to electrocution.were of the ages 23 and 24 years lived in salagama ,Matale .

Colombo Maning Market To Be Opened On Sundays As Well

Colombo Maning Market is scheduled
to be opened from 4 a.m to 1 p.m on Sundays from tomorrow (07)according to the Sources.

After lifting two month long curfew imposed in Colombo District last week this is the first time that the Market is functioning on sundays .

However prices of Vegetables and fish in the market   are being   increased .
