A Flight Carrying 235 Sri Lankan Sailors In German Ships Landed At Mattala Airport

A total of 235 Sri Lankan sailors

working in few German Shipping Companies  and had been stranded in Germany due to the Corona Óvirus lockdown had been brought back to Sri lanka this noon (06)through a Sri lankan Airlines flight it has been reported .

Accordingly the Sri Lankan Airlines flight carrying theses sailors from Hamburg ,Germany had landed at Mattala Inrernational Airport in Hambanthota this noon.

All the sailors and the Cabin crew of the flight were disinfected at the Airport and afterwards they have undergone "PCR  "Test to check their Corona status it has been revealed.

Untill the issuing of PCR Test results the group of Sailors and cabin crew are being stayed at Hotels near the Mattala Airport .

Four Corona Positives Had Been Reported Yesterday (05)

A total of 04 Corona virus positives had

been reported in the country untill 6 p.m yesterday (05) increasing the total number of Corona positives reported so far to 1801 according to the Epidemeology Uniit.

At the moment 931 Corona virus postives are being treated at Government Hospitals .

All Island Curfew Schedule To Be Changed From Tomorrow(06)

Government has amended  the current

curfew schedule implemented in the country daily from tomorrow (06)according to the President's Media Division.

Accordingly from tomorrow onwards  the Curfew will be imposed daily from 11 p.m to 4.a.m instead of 10 p.m to 4 a.m  implemented so far ,Until further notice it has been announced .

The current Island wide Curfew that had been imposed since 10 p.m last Wednesday (03)is scheduled to be lifted at  4 a.m tomorrow (06).

However the transport between Colombo and Gampaha is still being restricted and public is being advised to continue following of  Corona prevention health guidelines issued by the Health Ministry when working at Government and private offices and day to day work .

An Outrage Over The American State Official's Refusal To Undergo "PCR "Test At The Katunayake Airport

An outrage  has arisen in many sectors

of the society after Katunayake Airport officials had allowed a US State official who had arrived  from Qatar yesterday (04) to leave the Airport following  his refusal to face "PCR " test to check his Corona status .

According to the Airport officials the State official who had arrived from a flight from Qatar had refused to face the "PCR "test which is made  compulsory for foreign arrivals at the Airport  ,By using his VIP status and Airport officials had allowed hin to leave afterwards .

However US Embassy in Colombo has stated that  the US Official has acted according to the law and every state official arriving in need to undrrgo a 14 day self quarantine and adterwards will facing the "PCR " Test .

All US Embassy officials ate stick to follow health guidelines issued by the Health Ministry in Sri lanka the Embassy has stated .

Meanwhile after a State offocial of a country  facing the "PCR "test followed by  the Self quaratine period , the test result will be sent to the Foreign Ministry it has been revealed .

However Sri lankan government has today (05) announced that the law in the country is equal to everyone and if anyone arrriving in Sri Lanka refuse to face "PCR "test at the Airport will be sent back to the country they have came from .
