134 Corona Positives Had Been Reported Today (27) From.Foreign Arrivals And Navy Clusters

A total of 134 Corona  virus positives
had been reported in the country until 8,30 p.m today (27) increasing the total number of Corona positives in the country to 1453 according to Epidemeology Unit.

Out of the Corona positives reported today upto now 81 were Foreign arrivals and 53 were Navy personal under quatantine in Quarantine centers it has been reported.

At the moment 711 Corona positives and 75 persons  suspected as Corona positives are being treated at Government hospitals .

Leader Of The Ceylon Workers Congress ,Minister Arumugam Thondaman Has Passed Away gg

The leader of the Ceylon Workers
Congress (CWC) and the Minister of Empowerment and Estate infrastructure of the present government  Arumugam Thondaman had passed away this evening (26) at the age of 55 due to a sudden heart attack it has been reported .

Minister Thondaman had fallen at his house and  had passed away whilst taking to the Thalangama Hospital according to reports.

During his 26 year lomg political career late Thondaman held several Cabinet portfolios under several governments .




A Total Of 137 Corona Positives Reported Today (26) From Kuwait Returnees Cluster

A total of 137 Corona Virus Positives
had been reported today (26) until 11.30 p.m ,increasing the total number of Corona positives reported in tbe Country to 1319 according to the Epidemeology Unit .

This is the highest number of Corona positives reported in Sri lanka during a single day the Unit has stated .

Accordingly more than majority of them are returnees from Kuwait who are under quarantine at quarantine centers it has been revealed.

At the moment 597 Corona positives and 76 suspected as Corona positives are being treated at governmemt hospitals .
