Water Levels Of Three Main Rivers Had Increased Yesterday (19)- But Decreased Today (20)
As a result of overflowing of three main
rivers in the Country Kalu,Gin and Nilvala rivers due to the heavy showers several surrounding low land areas had been submerged yesterday (19)it has been reported .
Accordingly due to the overflowing of Kalu river from Ratnapura ,Gin River from Thawalama and Nilvala river from Kotapola areas low lands had been submerged .
However as the Heavy showers has ceased today (20) the waterlevels of those rivers had receded it has been repprted.

A Lorry Driver Was Killed Due To A Lorry Accident At Ella Area Last Monday (18)
A driver had been killed and his
assistant had been critically injured and hospitalized after the Lorry they were travelling in toppled over across the road at Ravana Ella area in Ella-Wellawaya road last Monday (18)night .
The Lorry driver had been killed on the spot and his assistant had been critically injured and admitted to the Badulla General Hospital .
The incident occurred when the Lorry had transported vegetables from Bandarawela to Kalmunai area .The deceased Driver was a resident of Kalmunai area it has been revealed .

One Lane Of The Closed Hatton -Colombo Road Opened For Traffic After Removing Huge Rocks And Soil Mounds Fallen On To The Road Yesterday(19)
The huge rocks and soil mounds fallen on to the road from several areas including watawala and diyagala had been removed by the Army and Navy personal to clear the road .The rocks and soil mounds had fallen as a result of the heavy showers prevailed in western slope areas of the Central hills .
