LIOC Has Increased The Price Of Octane -92 Petrol -CEYPTCO Decides Not To Increase

Lanka Indian Oil Company (LIOC )has

yesterday (17)increased the price of a Liter of Octane -92 Petrol by Rs.5 .

Accordingly the price of a Octane -92 Petrol  liter has been increased to  Rs.142.

However Governmemt has today (18)announced the price of the Petrol   is being sold by  government owned Ceylon Petroleum Corporation will not be increased.

Nineteen out of the twenty one Corona

Virus positives identified yesterday(17)were Navy personal it has been revealed .

Navy cluster is found as the only active Corona cluster in Sri Lanka at present .

So far 981 Corona virus positives had been reported in the country and the total number of Positives recovered has been exceeded the number of positives who are still being active according to the Epidemeology Unit.

448 Sri Lankans Stranded In Kuwait Are Due To Arrive Tomorrow (19)

448 Sri Lankan Employees  who are

stranded in Kuwait due to the Corona pandamic are scheduled to arrive Sri Lanka tomorrow (19)from two special Kuwaiti Airlines flight according to sources .

Accordingly 383 Sri Lankans Who are working in Kuwait without visas and 65 who are at Detention Center there are schedule  to arrive tonoorrow one batch in the noon and other in night .

Thesse Sri lankan nationals are being brought back by the Foreign Employment Bureau as a result of the talks held between Sri lankan Embassy officials in Kuwait and Kuwait authorities .

All the passangers will be sent to Quarantine centers for Quarantine after being arrived .

Twenty one Corona virus positives had

been discharged from Hospitals this morning (18)increasing the total number of Positives had  been discharged  to 559 according to Epideneology Unit .

Another 413 Corona positives are being treated at Government Hospitals at present the Unit has stated .

70 Stranded Sri Lankans In Thailand Brought Back To Sri Lanka

A special Maldivian Flight had brought

back 70 Sri lankans stranded at Bangkok ,Thailand due to Corona virus spread ,to Sri lanka this evening (17).

The Maldivian flight had brought back these Sri Lankans from Bangkok Airport and soon after arriving here Sri lanka Airforce personal had disinfected them and their luggage . Afterwards transported them to quarantine centers for quarantine through special Army Buses following the health check up at Health office in Katunayake Airport .
