No One In Paliyagoda Fish Market Infected With Corona Virus -Health Ministry

No one in the Paliyagoda Central Fish
market was found positive for the corona virus during the PCR tests performed on them yesterday (23)according to Health Ministry .

Around 520 PCR Tests had been carriedout on them after a fish vendor in Pliyandala area who is infected with corona virus has been reported as visited the fish market few times according to the Mimistry .

Police Have Imposed Travel Restrictions In Two Villages At Ampara

Police have imposed temporary travel restrictions for villagers  in Uhana and Damana areas at Ampara with effect from last night (23)due to the information received on few corona suspects had entered these villages according to the Police Media Spokesman .

Police had imposed a temporary curfew in these villages this morning (24)which lasted few hours and advised the villagers to avoid travelling and stay at home .

Arrivals to and departures from Uhana and Damana villages are being banned until further notice .

Director General Of Health Services has
empowered the Acting Inspector General of Police to arrest those who are violating quarantine laws during curfew lifted hours according to Deputy Inspector General Of Police Ajith Rohana .

During curfew lifted hours people cannot  behave as they want and social distancing should be adapted as well as wearing masks whenever they are going out he has stated .

Meanwhile police had arrested little more than 36,000 persons over violating curfew since the curfew has been imposed and also taken into custody around 10,000 vechicles upto last evening (23)it has been reported .

Security Forces Found 07 Persons Fled Away Ftom Colombo To Jaffna Amidst Curfew

Security forces have today (23)found 07 persons who had fled away secretly by lorries from Colombo to Jaffna and were in hiding and put them under self quarantine .

The suspects are hired workers and they had been violated the lockdown rules by noving to Jaffna from Colombo amidst curfew according to authorities .

The 07 workers are under self quara ntine monitored by Health officials .
