President Directs Commercial Bank Heads To Open Bank Branches During Curfew Hours

President Gotabaya Rajapakshe has
today (25)instructed the heads of all Commercial banks in the country to open their branches during curfew hours for the benefit of trade activities and essential supplies.

Bank branches should be opened until 1 p.m in areas where the curfew is lifting president has advised.

Meanwhile according to the directions of President Government owned "Sathosa " (CWE)has began delivering essential food items to doorstep but only within 6 Kilo Meter area from the Sathosa Headquarters at Vaukshal Street ,Colombo in the initial stage.

However president has advised the authorities yesterday that this home delivery system of essentials should be implemented covering all residents  in Colombo ,Gampaha and Kalutara Districts daily where an indifinite curfew is being imposed.

Another 201 Persons Quarantined At Two Centers Had Released Today (25)

A batch of 201 Sri Lankans arrived
from Italy and South Korea on 11 th of March and completed 14 day quarantine process  at Kandakadu and Punani Quarantine Centers had been released today (25).

Accordingly 144 quarantined for corona virus at Kandakadu Quarantine center and 57 persons quarantined at Punani center had left for their homes today .

Another 311 persons arrived from abroad and undergone quarantine at these two Centers had been released yesterday(24). 

Curfew Imposed In Many Districts Excluding Colombo, Gampaha ,Kalutara, Puttalam And Northern Province To Be Lifted For Six Hours Tomorrow

Curfew imposed in all Districts
excluding Colombo ,Gampaha ,Kalutara, Puttalam Districts and Five Districts of Northern Province is scheduled to be lifted at 6 a.m  tomorrow  (26)and will be re imposed at 12 noon on the same day according to the President's Media Division.

Curfew imposed in Puttalam and Five Districts of Northern Province scheduled to be lifted at 6 a.m on this Friday  (27)and re impose it at 12 noon on the same day.

However curfew imposed in Colombo, Gampaha and Kalutara Districts will continues until further notice the division  has announced .
