Nine Youth Arrested With A Stock Of Kerala Cannabis
Anti corruption unit of the Hatton Police have arrested 09 youth of
the ages 25-30 years whilst carrying a stock of Kerala Cannabis on pilgrimage to Sripadha last evening (07)at Ginigathhena -Diyagala area on Hatton road
The stock of Kerala Cannabis had been recovered whilst inspecting the van the suspected youth have travelled according to Police.
The youth are residents of Galle ,Anuradhapura and Kurunagala areas and scheduled to be produced before Hatton Magistrate Court.

Police Arrested Four Bangladeshi Nationals Over Attempting To Abduct a Small Sri Lankan Boy
Katugasthota Police have arrested four
Bangladeshi Nationals and two Sri lamkans who had attempted to abduct a 10 year old boy near a weekend Trade fair at Manikkumbura in Katugasthota, Kandy last evening (07).
The suspects arrived in a van had attempted to abduct the boy who had arrived in the fair with his uncle it has been revealed .However the uncle of the boy had saved him after struggling with the abductors. Then the suspects had fled away from the scene and later they were arrested by the Katugasthota Police after receiving the plate number of the van .
The two local suspects are residents of Kadawatha and Galagedara areas .
Katugasthota Police are investigating over the incident.

CID Had Arrested A Director Of Perpetual Treasuries Limited Over Central Bank Bond Scam
Criminal Investigations Department
(CID) had yesterday (07)arrested one of the 09 suspects who are under arrest warrant over the Central Bank Bond Scam ,Director of Perpetual Treasuries Limited Muthurasa Surendran and produced before the Colombo Additional Magistrate.
Colombo Additional Magistrate Priyantha Liyanage had remanded the suspect until 18th of March after being produced before him.
Colombo Fort Magistrate has issued arrest warrants to arrest 09 persons over their involvment in Central Bank Bond scam including UNP MP Ravi Karunanayake, Former Central Bank Governor Arjun Mahendran and Perpetual Treasuries Limited owner Arjun Aloysius last week.
However authorities still not be able to arrest Main suspects involved in Central Bank Bond Scam in 2016 as well as Bond scams occurred before 2015 sources revealed .
