Sri Lanka's Foreign Relations Minister Had Talks With US Ambassador Regarding US Travel Ban Against Army Commander

Sri lanka's Minister of Foreign Relations
Dinesh Gunawardana has today (16)requested the US Ambassador to Sri Lanka Alaina Teplitz to ask US government to review the decision taken to ban Army Commander General Shavendra De Silva and his immediate family members from entering United States Of America over human rights violation charges levelled against him.

US Ambassador Teplitz had met with the Foreign Relations Minister today according to a request made by the Minister to come to the Ministry in view  of   discussing the US travel ban imposed Against the Army Commander.

During the one hour meeting Minister Gunawardana has stated that government has condemned the US Move against the Army Commander as it will effect the changes made by present government .

In response US Ambassador had promised the Minister to inform the US State department on the response of Sri Lankan government over the issue .

Ten Persons Arrested At A Narcotic Party Held In A Night Club

Police Anti Narcotic Bureau officials
had arrested ten persons including a young female with a stock of Cocaine in their possession during a raid carried out at a Narcotic party hosted in a night club at Maitland place,Colombo -07 in the wee hours of last morning (25)  .

The raid was carried out according to an information received to Police Anti Narcotic Bureau.

A legal action is scheduled to be taken against the ten suspects arrested at the night club .
