MP Sajith Premadasa Has Been Appointed As The Opposition Leader In Pariament

United National Party (UNP) MP Sajith Premadasa had been appointed as the Opposition Leader in Parliament during a UNP Parliamentary group
meeting held  at Party Headquarters "Sirikotha'  in Colombo this evening (05) under the patronage of  UNP Leader Ranil Wikramasinghe .

During the meeting UNP Leader Ranil Wikramasinghe and other UNP MP's have decided to appoint MP Premadasa as the opposition leader it has been revealed .

Adtewards UNP General Secretary MP Akila Viraaj Kariyawasam had sent the   decision taken by UNP to appoint MP.Premadasa as the opposition leader   to the speaker Karu Jayasuriya .Speaker has approved the appointment of MP Premadasa the Speaker's office has anniunced.

The decision regarding the leadership of the UNP and reconstruction process of the party scheduled to be taken in weak's time it has been announced.

STF Personal Arrested Six Youths With 200 Grammes Of "Mawa"Narcotic

Special Police Task Force (STF)personal
had arrested six youths with 200 Grammes of illegal "Mawa' narcotic in their possession at the Main Bus stand in Hatton Town last morning (04) during an emergancy raid carried out in the area .

One of the suspects was arrested whilst selling the narcotic it has been reported .
The suspects who are of the ages 19-30 years and residents of Hatton Town had been handed over to the Hatton Police for further investigations .

Hatton police are conducting an investigations over the incident .

Permits Issued To Transport Sand,Soil,Granite and Rubble Had Been Abolished

Cabinet has today (04)decided to
abolish the permits issued when transporting sand,Soil ,Granite and Rubble in view of reducing the prices of those  items.

This decision has been taken at a Cabinet briefing held at President's office under the patronage of President Gotabaya Rajapakshe according to the Minister of Enviornment and Wild Life Resources S.M Chandrasena .
