Imported Bombay Anion Tax Reduced

The cost of living committee has
decided to reduce the import tax imposed on a Kilo of Imported Bombay Anions by Rs.39 with effect from midnight tonight (01).

This decision has been taken due to the inconvenience caused by the consumers as a result of increased Bombay Anion prices the chairman of the Cost of Living Committee Minister of Agriculture and Irrigation P.Harrison .

Authorities are expecting that the traders will reduce the price of a imported Bombay Anion Kilo by Rs.50-70  due to the tax reduction.

As a result of  increasing the  Imported Bombay Anion tax by Rs.40 and india suspending the exporting of Bombay Anions due to the adverse weather the price of Bombay Anions has been increased in the local market recently causing inconvenience to the consumers.

However to reduce the burden of consumers cost of living committee has decided to reduce the Imported Bombay Anion taX it has been announced. 

Former IGP Pujith Jayasundara Was Arrested And Released On Bail

Criminal Investigations Department
  (CID)had arrested former Inspector General Of Police (IGP) Pujith Jayasundara  who is on compulsory leave  this morning (01)over blaming and forcing a Male and female Police Constable Infront of a lift at the Police Headquarters ,Colombo .

However the Former IGP Had been released on a personal bail of Rs.200,000 by the Colombo Fort Magistrate Ranga Dissanayake after being produced before him this evening. 

Gotabaya Rajapakshe Had Requested Court Permission To Go Abroad

Podu Jana Peramuna (SLPP) Gotabaya Rajapakshe had today  (01)requested the Special High Court Tribunal Judge Panel to grant him permission to go to Singapore from 09 th to 12th of October for a medical examimation

Petitioner Rajapakshe had requested the Tribunal Judge panel through a motion filed today to release his Passport which is under court custody to allow him go to Singapore for the medical examination .

The passport of Gotabaya Rajapakshe is under court custody as a foreign travel ban imposed  in connection with  the case filed against hLP accepted the request of Gotabaya Rajapakshe,As time is need to examine medical reports and requested to take the motion to hear on 03rd of October .

The case against Gotabaya Rajapakshe regsrding misuse of state funds to build D.A. Rajapakshe Memorial Museum due to hear everyday from mid of this month .

Patients Charter StUck In The Health Ministry Since Few Years

The Patients Charter which enlists
various rights and responsibilities of patients has been prepared in 2002 by the Health Ministry and still stuck in the Ministry without implementing it claims the Director of Alliance Lanka Dr.Lanka Jayasuriya Dissanayake.

Addressing a Media Seminar on Non Communicable Diseases held at Health Promotions Bureau in Colombo  last morning (30) Dr.Dissanayake has stated that three Health Ministers held office since 2002 not been able to implement  this all important Patients Charter .

The Charter had been sent to the Parliamentary Select Committee and the Committee has Approved it and sent it back to the Health Ministry for necessary action around 2010 .

However this important charter   is still stuck in the Ministry without a reason she has stressed.
