A Sudden Fire Erupted In A Five Storyed Building In Dematagoda

A Sudden fire erupted in the fifth storey
of a  five storyed  building at number 11,Aramaya  road ,Dematagoda had been doused by the Fire services department attached to Colombo Municipal Council this evening  (17)by using three fire trucks .

The fire was erupted in the Building this evening and no one was injured due to it according to Police.

Police officers attached to Dematagoda Police along with residents of the area have assisted firefighters to douse the fire .

The reason behind the fire has not yet been revealed and Dematagoda Police are investigating over the incident.

Kala Wewa Wildlife Park Temporarily Closed Down

Authorities have temporarily  closed down the Kala Wewa Wildlife Park for public  and tourists since Sunday  (15)until further notice  due to a dispute erupted
 between  Wild park authorities and villagers in the area .

The dispute occurred after the authorities complaining to the police against villagers over attempting to chase away Wild Elephants in the park by using firecrackers.  .

As a result the villagers have blocked the entry road to the park preventing tourists travelling there it had been revealed.

A Person.Was Arrested With 25 Grammes Of Kerala Cannabis

Sri Lanka Navy along with Police have
arrested a 22 year old person whilst carrying 25 Grammes   of Kerala Cannabis to be sold at Muththur area yesterday  (14).

The suspect who is a resident of Muththur is a drug smuggler in.the area it has been revealed .

The suspect along with the stock of Kerala Cannabis taken in to custody in possesion of the suspect are due to be produced before the court.
