Two Persons Killed Due To A Road Accident In Batticaloa

Two persons had been killed and another persons had been injured and hospitalized  due to a collision of two  lorries at Navakkuda area ,Kaththankudi in Batticaloa -Kalmunai road this morning(11). 

The injured person is currently receiving treatment in Batticaloa Hospital .

A Civil Defense Force Officer Has Died Due To A Dear Attack

A  46 year old Deputy Guide attached to the Civil Defense Department  has died after a Deer in the Vilpaththu Reserve m  ,Aanuradhapura had attacked him.The critically injured person had succumbed to his injuries whilst receiving treatment at Vilachchi Hospital it has been reported.

The incident  occurred when the deceased entered  his paddy field at Mahavilachchiya to look after his pumpkin cultivation A group of dogs had ran after a Deer and the Deer had attacked the man with his horn set when he too ran after him

He was a resident of Iwura ,Mahavilachchiya area .

A 33 Year Old Person Was Arrested With A Stock Of "Ice"

A 33 year old Sri Lankan was arrested by the Police Aanti Narcotic Bureau officials at the arrival lounge of Katunayake,Bandaranaike International Airport today (11) with 1.45 Kilo Grammes of "Ice" narcotic.

The suspect who had arrived in Katunayake from Chennai India is a resident of Kahalla ,katugasthota area .

Police Anti Narcotic Bureau officials have also arrested a 24 year old person arrived in from a Van from Ukuwela.Matale to pick up the suspect with his van over encouraging the suspect  at the Airport premises .


The two suspects are being due to be produced before the Negambo Magistrate Court to obtain a seven day detention order according to Police .

A Filling Station Worker Was Shot And Killed By An Unidentified Gunmen

A 27 year old Filling Station worker was shot and  killed by two unidentified gunmen arrived  in from a Motorcycle at Fuel Station in Godawela area ,of Polgahawela-Kurunagala main road in the wee hours of this morning (11).

The deceased had faced the situation when he had attempted to prevent the two unidentified gunmen from steeling cash money belonging to the filling station it has been revealed.The robbers had stolen the cash of the station and fled away from the area according to police.

The deceased was a resident of Aranayake area .
