Former President's Chief Of Staff Gamini Senerath And Two Others Acquitted


The Tribunal Judge panel of the Special Petmanant High Court had yesterday  (08)acquitted and  the Chief of staff of Former President Mahinda Rajapakshe ,Gamini Sedara Senerath and two others from all charges including allegedly misappropriating Rs.500 million belonging to Litro Gas Lanka limited.

Delivering the verdict the The Tribunal Judge panel chaired by High Court Judge Sampath Abey Koontz had stated the complainants have not been  able to provide the charges without a doubt .

The Court of Appeal had today (09) issued an interim order preventing any obstructions against Disposing Garbage collected in Colombo District  by the Colombo Municipal Council to Aruwakkalu Sanitary Garbage Dump  at Puttalam .

As the Garbage Capacity in Kerawalapitiya Garbage Dump where the Garbage collected in Colombo District has been disposed  had fulfilled ,Ministry of Megapolis and Western Development had suspended the disposal of Colombo Garbage to Kerawalapitiya Dump last Monday (02).Since than Garbage in Colombo City had been collected in roadsides causing a bad smell  ,

However today (09) Colombo Municipal Council had began disposing the Garbage collected in Colombo Roads to Aruwakkalu Garbage Dump .
