Prime Minister Says He Will Give Evidence Before Parliamentary Select Committee Probing Easter Sunday Attacks

Prime Minister Ranil Wikramasinghe

says he will definitely give evidence before the Parliamentary Select Committee probing Easter Sunday attacks in the near future, over the attacks.

Although some sections in the society have different opinions on the committee the Judiciary too had accepted  the legal validity of the Select committee Prime Minister has stressed .

The committee has been appointed accordance to the requests made by opposition and MP's to probe on the Easter  attacks  as  the pre Intelligence reports of the attacks not circulated among the relevent officials properly  he has stressed .

The no confidence motion submitted against the government was baseless and it proved after defeating it he said

Investigations Division  (TID ) have arrested a 20 year old person who had  received arms training at the camp of Thowheed Jamaath Organization with it's leader Mohommad  Zahran  at Blackpool in Nuwara Eliya .

The suspect Mohommad Thajudeen Asif Ahmed who is a resident of Dikpitiya ,Aranayaka  area was arrested whilst working in a Garment Factory at  Maharagama .He had  recieved Arms training as well as attended the Advisory classes of Thowheed Jamaath it has been reported .

He has joined the Garment Factory three days back it has been revealed .The suspect was later handed over to Colombo Crimes Division for further questioning.

A 22 Year Old Female Critically Injured Due To Easter Sunday Attacks Has Died Today (11)

A 22 year old female who had been

critically injured and hospitalized due time the Easter Sunday attacks in Zion Church at Batticaloa 80 days ago ,has succumbed to her injuries are Ragama Teaching Hospital today (11) it has been reported .

The deceased was Uma ShanKer resided in KilledI area .She had been critically injured due to the Easter Sunday attacks whilst in Zion Church and admitted to Batticaloa Hospital for treatment. Later she was transfered to Ragama Teaching Hospital for further treatment.
