Prime Minister Ranil Wikramasinghe To Declare Poson As An Annual National Festival
In Addition Prime Minister Wikramasinghe has decided to offer government's sponsorship for the Annual Poson Procession in MIhinthale.
Premier has also decided to prepare Legal procedures as soon as possible to implement these measures requested by chief incumbent of Mihinthale Raja Maha Viharaya (Temple )ValawahangunaWewe Dhammaratna Thero yesterday .
He is due to be appointed a high level committe to look in to this .
A Store Distributed Expired And Low Quality Baby Pampers Had Been Sealed

Baby pampers which are Expired and wrapped in a low quality wrappers are being re-wrapped in the store which was raided today and distributed among shops throughout the island Consumer Affairs Authority has stated.
Expired Baby pampers had been brought to the store from shops island wide according to reports .

A Goal.Keeper Of A Popular Local Soccer Club Had Been Sentenced A Life Time Imprisonment Over Heroin Smuggling

Kulathunge had today (17)senteneed the Goal keeper of a popular local soccer club Kamal NiShantha allias "Mahattaya" to life time rigorous imprisonment over smuggling Narcotics internationally from Dubai and keeping 4.03 Grammes of Heroin in possession .
The accused Goal keeper had been arrested by the police at Dam Street in Colombo Fort on 11 th of August 2013 with 4.03 Grammes of Heroin in possession .
The suspect who is a resident of Keselwatte area has been identified as an aide of a Narcotic smuggler Keselwatte Dinuka .
Attorney General had filed indictments against the accused at Colombo High Court over Heroin smuggling.
Government Analyst has also confirmed that the haul of Heroin taken in to custody by the police in possession of the suspect was pure Heroin .

Health Ministry To Introduce Family Doctor Concept
Although there are around 1500
Suwadivi and Suwanari Centers located throughout the island to tests on non communicable diseases free of charge only 35 percent of local population so far accessed to these Centers according to Ministry of Health .
Therfore Health Minister Dr.Rajitha Senaratne is considering to introduce the family doctor concept for the public , A family doctor per 10,000 to 15,000 population Ministry has stressed.
