Little More Than 500 Complaints Received Against Dr.Safi-No Medical Test Carried Out Over The Allegations

Little more than 500 complaints had
been received by the Kurunagala Teaching Hospital and Dambulla Hospital against Senior Doctor attached to the Kurunagala Teaching Hospital Dr.Seigu Siyabdeen Mohommad Safi over illegal sterilization it has been reported .

Around 102 complaints against Dr.safi had been received by Kurunagala and Dambulla Hospitals today ,However still not a single  medical test has been carried out to see whether the complaints received from these mothers  have any validity according to sources .

Meanwhile Kurunagala Teaching Hospital Protection Campaign has today urged the President to appoint an Independent Board to conduct an inquiry against Dr.Safi.

Meanwhile the six member Investigation Board appointed by the Health Ministry Secretary Wasantha Perera to investigate on the charges against Dr.Safi  is due to handover it's interim report shortly .

Police have prevented a silent protest campaign scheduled to be held infront of Kurunagala Hospital by a Buddhist Monk against Dr.safi this noon .

Sri Lankan Airlines Resumed It's Direct Flights To Pakistan

Sri Lankan Airlines had today
(01)resumed it's direct flights to Pakistan after a lapse of Three months it has been reported.

Accordingly A -320 Airbus belonging to the Sri Lankan Airlines carrying 166 passengers along with 08 crew members departed to.Karachchi, Pakistan at 12.20 p.m today .

Sri Lankan Airlines suspended it's flights to Pakistan on 27 th Of february  following the Indo-Pakistan war situation created at that time .

Five European Countries Lifted The Travel Restrictions Imposed Against Sri Lanka

As the security situation in the country has been improved after the Easter Sunday Bombings ,Five European  countries had lifted travel restrictions imposed Against Sri Lanka it has been reported .

Accordingly Netherlands, Italy, Austria ,Germany and Switzerland had lifted the travel restrictions imposed over Sri Lanka .

Earlier China has lifted the  travel ban imposed Against Sri Lanka. 

A Female Sanitary Worker Has been Arrested Whilst Transporting A Stock Of Gold Jewelry At Katunayake Airport

A 55 year old Female sanitary worker
had been arrested by the Airport Customs officers today (01)whilst transporting a stock of Gold Jewelry weighing 2.187 Kilo Grammes  in a Trolly carrying cleaning equipment and chemicals at the Katunayake Airport .

The suspect who is a resident of Katunayake had been arrested whilst attempting to transport the Gold Jewelry hidden in a Ploythene bag out side the Airport according to Customs .

A Passanger at the Airport immigration terminal had handed over the stock of Gold Jewelry worth Rs.10 million and 15,000 to the suspected female to  transport outside the Airport it has been revealed.

Airport Customs are investigating  the incident .

An Army Soldier Has Died And Two Soldiers Injured Due To An Explosion In Jaffna




An Army soldier has died and two other
soldiers had been injured and hospitalized due to an explosion at Vasa villan in Palaly,Jaffna this evening (01) it has been reported.

The two injured soldiers had been admitted to Jaffna Teaching Hospital for treatment according to acting Army Media Spokesman Major General Roshan Seneviratne .

The cause of the explosion has not yet been revealed. An investigations are being carried out regarding the explosion Major General Seneviratne has stressed.
