President Requested Defense Secretary And IGP To Resign From Their Posts
President Maithripala Sirisena has
today (24)requested Defense Secretary Hemasiri Fernando and Inspector General Of Police(IGP)Pujith Jayasundara to resign from their posts due to their failure to avoid Easter Sunday bombings it has been reported.
This move has been taken by the President Sirisena after United National Party(UNP)MP Wijedasa Rajapakshe has made a written request from president today to remove Defense Secretary Hemasiri Fernando and IGP Jayasundara .
The comments made by Defense Secretary Fernando regarding the Easter Sunday bombings during last few days had been subjected to criticisms in the society .

Government Schools To Be Reopened On 29th -All State Universities Closed Until Further Notice
Government has postponed the
reopening of all Government schools which was earlier scheduled on today (24)until 29 th of April according to Ministry of Education.
This decision has been taken after considering the current situation of the country it has been revealed.
Meanwhile University Grants Commission (UGC) has decided to closed all State Universities until further notice and postponed all university eexaminations.

Colombo Archbishop Requested Not To Hold Mass Services And Processions In Catholic Churches Until Further Notice

Malcolm Ranjith has today (24)informed the relevant authorities not to hold mass services and processions at Catholic Churches until further notice.
The appeal came after the Easter sunday bombings which also targeted catholic churches of the country.
Meanwhile Ambassadors of Muslim countries had met with the Archbishop Ranjith at Archbishop's House in Colombo today (24)to discuss the aftermath of the Sunday bombings .
Archbishop has stressed that the public should have avoid harming or attempt to disrupt activities of the Muslim Community in Sri Lanka.

join ISIS terrorist organization and return to Sri Lanka after militant training were among the suspects who are responsible for Easter sunday bombings Prime Minister Ranil Wikramasimghe has told the Foreign Journalists today(24).
Addressing at a press briefing held for foreign journalists in Colombo today Premier Wikramasinghe has stressed that Some of the militants arrived in for the explosions still on run with explosives.
Island wide search operations are currently underway to find out these suspects who are hiding in houses he said .There was an international link related to the sunday bombings premier has further said.
