A Person Was Killed And Five Persons Had Been Injured Due To Lorry -Bus Collision

A 36 year old Lorry driver had been

killed and Five others had been injured and hospitalized after the small Lorry they were travelling in colliding with a Bus at Mahagodayaya  area on Buttala -Monaragala main road this morning (20).

The injured had been admitted to Buttala Hospital and four of them later transferred to Monaragala Hospital for furher treatment .

The victims were on pilgrimage at the time of the incident it has been revealed .

The deceased driver was a resident of Malabe  area.However Buttala Police have not yet been arrested the bus driver regsrding the incident.

A House Was Damaged After A Motor Car Fallen In To A Precipice

A motor car driver had  received minor injuries and a house was damaged as a result of a 

Luxurious motor car veering off the road and fallen on  to a house at a  precipice at Abawaka area in Hali-Ela this noon (19). 

The car had fallen in to a 20 feet deep precipice and toppled over to a house there .However no one in the house received injures.

Hali-Ela police are conducting an investigation over the incident .
