Colombo High Court Ordered A Popular Bakery Shop To Pay Ra. 100,000 To A Female Over Selling Her A Pin Contained Bun
Colombo High Court has yesterday (31
)ordered a Manager of a Bakery Shop at Maradana (Colombo ) belonging to a popular Bakery chain in Colombo to pay Rs.100,000 to a female as a compensation over selling a Bun containing a pin to her .
The female who had bought a Bun from a Bakery shop at Maradana recently found a pin inside the bun got stuck in her mouth and complained it to the Bakery manager .However the Manager had threatened and blamed her instead of accepting her complaint over the incident it has been revealed .
Afterwards the female had complaint on the incident to the Public Health Inspector (PHI) of Maradana on the incident and through him filed a case at Colombo Magistrate Court against the Bakery which sold the pin contained Bun.
After hearing the case Magistrate Court has ordered the Bakery Manager to pay Rs.10,000 to the victim however the Bakery Manager has filed a case against the verdict at Colombo High Court .
Than the High Court has yesterday ordered the Bakery to pay Rs.100,000 instead of Rs.10,000 to the victim .

Power Supply To Several Areas Cut Off Due To A Fire At Kelanithissa Grid Power Sub Station
Power supply to several areas
throughout the island has been cut off since last evening (31) due to a sudden fire erupted at Kelanithissa Grid POwer Sub station according to Ministry Of power and Energy .
Accordingly Power supply to Colombo City ,Kelaniya, Biyagama ,Sapugaskanda ,Athurugiriya ,Kosgama ,Embilipitiya and Kiribathkumbura areas will be cut off from time to time .Kelanithissa POwer sub station is supplying electricity to these areas .

Kokkadicholai OIC Has Been Remanded Over Accepting A Bribe

Kokkadocholai Police OIC Sisira Kumara until 08 th of February over accepting a Rs.25,000 as a bribe from a person .
The suspected OIC was arrested by the Bribery Commission officers yesterday (30)whilst accepting The bribe at his office in Kokkadocholai Police and produced him better the court today.
Batticaloa Magistrate has also ordered the officials to produce the suspect before Colombo Fort Magistrate at the next hearing of the case .
Kokkadicholai Police OIC Chief Inspector Sisira Kumara has been arrested by the Bribery Commission officials over accepting Rs.25,000 as a bribe for not taking a legal action against a person over transporting sand through a Tipper Truck illegally. Earlier the OIC has requested the Tipper Truck owner Rs.30,000 to avoid legal action against him and to release him.

A Fire Erupted In Hatton -Kotagala Wetland Has Destroyed A 10 Acres Of Land
Around 10 acres of land belonging to
the Hatton -Kotagala wetland zone had been destroyed due to a sudden fire erupted in the wetland zone this morning (31).
Fire brigade officials attached to Hatton -Kotagala Urban Council along with Army personal have controlled the fire before it spreading further it has been reported .
Authorities believes the fire erupted as a result of Lighting fire by an indïvidual.
A threat of spreading fire towards the nearby houses had been prevented due to the controlling of the fire it has been revealed. The Hatton -Kotagala wetland zone is located near the Devon waterfall
