Employees Of National Savings Bank To Launch A Token Strike On Thursday
An Employees attached to National
Savings Bank(NSB) are scheduled to be launched an Island wide one day token strike on this Thursday (24)by demanding their salary increment implement once in every three years which is currently upheld by the management .
NSB employees had launched a protest campaign by wearing arm bands in protest against not granting their salary increment,,since few weeks it has been revealed .

Public Health Inspectors To Launch An Islandwide Token Strike Tomorrow (21)
Public Health Inspectors (PHI) are due to launch an
Island wide one day token strike from 7 a.m to 7 p.m tomorrow (21) opposing Health Ministry's decision on appointing a Consultant Community Physician ahead of the Chief PHI Post in Health Ministry according to Sri Lanka Public Health Inspectors Union.
Around 2600 PHI's throughout the Island will be psrticipated in the strike which might paralyzed the PHI'S duty work including Dengue control activities and inspecting food outlets the Union has stated .

A Person Was Shot And Injured At Kotahena
A 34 year old person had been shot and injured by an
unidentified gunmen arrived in from a Motorcycle near Maliban Junction at Kotahena (Colombo) this evening (20).
The injured who was injured whilst travelling in a Three Wheeler and bullets entered his back , had been admitted to Colombo National Hospital for treatment .The gunmen have fled away from the scene after the gun shooting incident.
The cause behind the incident has not yet been revealed .
Colombo coastal police are investigating over the incident .

Police Recovered A Foreign Made Pistol And Bullets From A Motor Car Collided With A Lorry
Police have recovered a Pistol made in Italy along with
08 , eight mili meter bullets from a Motor Car which collided with a Fish Lorry and caused death of Six passangers including a Businessman travelled in the Car early this morning (20) near Rangammulla Bridge ,Bolawatte -Neinamadama in Wennappuwa.
Four persons in the Motor Car who were residents of Ulhitiyawa area had been killed ,four on the spot due to the incident .
Chilaw Police are conducting an investigarion over the incident .
