Five Catagories Of The Railway Service Are Due To Launch Two Day Island Wide Strike Ftom Tomorrow (26)

Five Categories belonging to Railway

service including Engine Drivers are due to be launched a two day Island Wide Railway Strike from midnight tomorrow night (26)by demanding solution for Salary anomalies of several Railway Department categories according to Railway Trade Unions.

Accordingly Engine Drivers ,Railway Guards ,Station Masters ,Railway Controllers and Railway Supervising management officers are scheduled to be launched this two day strike .

A 56 Year Old Motorcyclist Had Been Killed After Colliding With A Train At Dodanduwa

A 56 year old Motorcyclist had been

killed after the Motorcycle he was riding in colliding with the "Ruhunu Kumari " Express Train travelling from Colombo Fort to Matara last evening (24).

The incident occurred when the Motorcycle attempted to cross the Railway line in Dodanduwa Railway crossing it has been revealed.

The deceased was a resident of Ganegama North in Baddegama area (Galle ) .

Two Youth Had Fallen Down From Bambaragama Falls

Two youth of the ages 20 and 21 years old had fallen down from Bambaragama falls (Ella ) of the upper part of Ravana Falls in Bandarawela and dissappeared today (25)it has been reported.

Another person who had attempted to rescue the two youth had been injured and admitted to Bandarawela Hospital for treatment .

A Seacrch operation is being launched to find out the missing.
