Further Hearing Of Writ Petition Filed By 122 MP's Requesting Suspending Functioning Of Former Premier And His Ministers Scheduled today (12)

The two member Judge Panel
Comprising of  Court of Appeal president Preethi Padman Surasena and Arjuna Obeysekare is due to hear the writ petition filed avt the Court by 122 MP's requesting to issue a "Quo Warranto " writ order to prevent functioning of former appointed Premier Mahinda Rajapakshe and his 49 member Cabinet, Deputy and State Ministers .

Appeals court Judge Panel has already issued a writ order to suspend the functioning of former Premier Rajapakshe and his Ministers on 03 Rd of December until the conclusion of hearing the petitions.

The Judge Panel has also issued notices to respondents of the Petitions to submit facts to the court today .

122 MP's including UNP Leader Ranil.Wikramasinghe, JVP,TNA,SLMC, And ACMC had been filed the potion in Court of Appeal.

President Instructed Authorities To Provide Essential Food Commodities Without Any Shortage To The Public During Festive Season

President Maithripala Sirisena has
yezterday (11)instructed the authorities including representatives of Food Commodity importers and Ministerial Secretaries to provide essential food commodities to the public without a delay and shortage for a reasonable prices during forthcoming festive season .

During a meeting held with authorities including representatives of Food Commodity importers and Ministry Secretaries at Presidential Secretariet yesterday president has instructed on this .

A Motion To Show Confidence To UNP Leader Ranil Wikramasinghe To Be Submitted To Parliament Tomorrow (12)

A motion to show confidemce to United
National Party  (UNP) Leader Ranil Wikramasinghe as the Prime Minister is due to be submitted to the Parliament by Deputy Leader of UNP Sajith Premadasa during tomorrow's (12)Parliamentary proceedings .

The Motion has already included in tomorrow 's Parliamentary agenda and scheduled to be debated after submitting it .After the debate United National Front Is expecting to pass it with majority of votes it has been revealed.

However Leftist Janatha Wimukthi Peramuna (JVP)has decided not to vote in favour of the motion.

A Part Of A Roof Belonging To Old Sub Post Office In.Galle Fort Collapsed

A section of a roof belonging to the Sub post office established during the 18th century in Galle Fort had been collapsed on to a Three Wheeler parked near by the office building this evening (11)it has been reported .

The Three Wheeler had been severely damaged due to the incident and the Three Wheeler Driver had narrowly escaped by jumping out side the vehicle during the incident.

The Sub Post office in Galle Fort was established during 18 th Century by then Governor Frederick North .

No Request Made From Supreme Court To Deliver The Verdict Of Petitions Soon -Attorney General's Department

Attorney General's Department has
today (11)says the Department didn't request Supreme Court to deliver the verdict of Petitions filed against the Gazette Notification issued by President Maithripala Sirisena to dissolve  paraiment as soon as possible .

The Department believes the verdict regarding the Petitions will be delivered this week.

UPFA MP Wimal Weerawansha has recently told the media that President Sirisena is scheduled to be requested the Supreme Court to deliver the above verdict soon .
