MP Mahinda Rajapakshe And Four Of His Former Ministers Filed Appeals Against Interim.Order

Rajapakshe and four  of his former appointed Ministers Chamal Rajapakshe ,Johnston Fernando ,Dinesh Gunawardana and Wijedasa Rajapakshe have today (04 ) filed two appeals in Supreme Court separately ,requesting to issue an interim order to prevent the implementation of the interim order issued by Court of Appeal against them yesterday  (03).

The appeal petitions had requested the Supreme Court to make the Court of Appeal s interim order issued yesterday preventing the functioning of MP Rajapakshe and his former Ministers in  minority government ,powerless.

The interim order was intepreted the law incorrectly and issued against the Constitution it says.

The respondents of the appeal petitions are 122 MP's who had filed a petition  against appointing Mahinda Rajapakshe as premier including United National Party with its leader Ranil Wkiramasinghe, JVP,TNA ,ACMC, SLMC and TPA Parties .

Talks Between UNF Leaders And President Had Ended Without A Solution

The discussion held between United
National Front  (UNF )Leaders and President Maithripala Sirisena few hours ago at Presidential Secretariet in Colombo to find a solution to  the current political conflict  has ended without a solution it has been reported.

During the discussion President Sirisena has not agreed to appoint Constitutionally elected Premier Ranil Wikramasinghe as the Prime Minister it has been reported.

The discussion was scheduled to be held yesterday ,However later it was postponed until today (04).
