An action plan to prevent Child
Molestation in Sri Lanka has been launched at a ceremony held in Health Promotions Bureau at Kynsey Road, Colombo last Tuesday (27).

The action plan titled "Every child is precious -Let's protect them "has been printed as a book in Sinhala,English  and Tamil medium and published by Save the children Organization.

Addressing the event Director  of the "GrassrootEd Trust " Hans Bilimoria  has told as there's an increase of children accessing the Internet and social media at a very young age the chance of them to expose to molestation has  increased .

Sinning a petition to collect 5 million
signatures calling a general election to solve the current political conflict has commenced  shortwhile ago at Abayaramaya  Temple in Narahenpita according to the Chief Incumbent of the Abayaramaya  Temple and President of "Pavidi Handa" Venerable Muruththettuwe Ananda Thero .

The Petition to be handed over to President Maithripala Sirisena after collecting 5 million signatures throughout the island Muruththettuwe Thero Has told the media during a press briefing held at Abayaramaya Temple last morning (28).

Addressing the Briefing Venerable Iththakande Saddathissa thero of "Pavidi Handa"has stated that Sri Lanka need a snap  general election to elect a honorable Parliament with patriotic decent MP's as our current  Parliament has turned into a zoo .

Under this circumstance Premier Ranil Wikramasinghe do not have 113 majority in Parliament and if Sajith Prrmadasa has  nominated for the premiership he will not allow to get 113 majority Saddathissa thero has stressed.

Speaking on the Assasination plot of President Maithripala Sirisena ,The Thero said Inspector General Of Police who is also accused as connected to the plot should have been arrested .

Cabinet Has Approved An Interim Account For The Expenditure Of First Quarter In Next Year

Cabinet has approved an Interim

Account to allocate Rs.1735 billion for the Government's  expenditure of the first quarter in  next year  (2019) to be submitted to Parliament until preparing of  a budget according to Cabinet Spokesman Mimister Mahinda Samarasinghe.

Accordingly Rs.760 billion is being proposed to allocate to maintain common services .

Appointed Premier Mahinda Rajapakshe has submitted the Interim Account to the Cabinet as the Minister  of Economic 

Several Roads in And Around Colombo Inundated Due To Heavy Showers

Several Roads in and around Colombo
City had been inundated ,As a result of the heavy showers prevailed in for few hours this evening  (28 ).

Accordingly Roads including Thunmulla ,Kynsey Road ,Ward Place Independence road ,Horton Place ,Union Place and Baseline Road had been inundated for hours and heavy traffic has been created as a result.

Around 122 milI meters of rain had been received by Colombo this evening within a three hour period it has been revealed. 

A Person Was Arrested With A Haul Of Heroin

A 71 year old person had been arrested
by the Piliyandala Police with 700 Grammes of Heroin in his possession at Southern ponnanthara area in Piliyandala today (28).

The suspect who is a resident of Southern ponnanthara area in Piliyandala is due to be produced before Kesbawa Magistrate Court tomorrow (29).

The estimated value of the stock of Heroin taken in to custody in possession of the suspect  is more than Rs.08 million.
