Parliamentary Election Will Be Cancelled As It's Illegal -Dr.Rajitha Senaratne

The United National Party(UNP ) will be
going to Supreme Court against President Maithripala Sirisena 's decision to dissolve Parliament according to UNP State Minister Ajith,P Perera .

The decision to dissolve Parliament is illegal and Unconstitutional he has said.

Meanwhile addressing a Press briefing held at Temple Trees few hours ago, Health Minister of the good governance government Dr.Rajitha Senaratne has stressed that President Sirisena has dissolved the Parliament under a power not vested to him in the Constitution .

It is Unconstitutional and illegal act and the Parliamentary Election that was announced is an illegal one Dr.Senaratne has said.

This is another step taken by the President unconstitutionaly. He fails to get majority support  of 113 MP'S in Parliament to new Premier Mahinda Rajapakshe which will be defeated soon he says.

The illegal Election that was announced will soon be cancelled Dr.Senaratne has said .

A Police Constable Was Killed Due To A Road Accident

A 23 year old Police Constable attached
to Katunayake Police had been killed after the Motorcycle he was  Riding in slipped away  on.the road at Bokku Pandura area ,in Katunayake.

The critically injured Person.who.was a resident in Narameala area  had succumbed his  injuries after admission to Negambo Hospital.

The incident occurred as a result of Police Constable's inability to control his Motorcycle it has been reported.
 

Parliamentary Election To Be Held On 05 th Of January According To The Gazette

According to the Extra ordinary Gazette
Notification signed and issued by President Maithripala Sirisena on dissolving Parliament although President does not have the power to do so under the 19th Amendment of the Constitution, Parliamentary Election is scheduled to be held on 05 th of January 2019.

Nominations for the Election should be handed over from 19th of November to 26 th of November 2018 it says.

The newly Elected Parliament to be convened on 17th of January 2019 as per the Gazette Notification.

It has been revealed that President has moved to dissolve Parliament although  it is unconstitutional, Mainly due to his inability to get the support of 113 MP's in Parliament to his newly appointed Premier Mahinda Rajapakshe .

President Sirisena has said on Monday during a protest rally held at Parliamentary Roundabout, That 113 majority in Parliament has been achieved .

However today it has been reported new Premier only have the support ofor around 104 MP's in Parliament.

President Sirisena Had Signed A Gazette Notification To Dissolve Parliament

President Maithripala Sirisena has
short while ago signed a an extra ordinary Gazette Notification regarding dissolvement of Parliament it has been reported.

The Gazette Notification has been sent to Government Printer to print ,sources said.

Under the 19th Amendment of the Constitution Parliament cannot be dissolved until 2021 according to legal experts.

Both Chief Justice and Attorney General Have opposed the move according to sources .
