Prime Minister Ranil Wikramasinghe Says That He Is Still The Prime Minister Under The Constitution

government Ranil Wikramasinghe has said he is still the Prime Minister of the country under the current Constitution  Although former President Mahinda Rajapakshe Has been sworn in as Prime Minister before President Maithripala Sirisena this evening ,soon after the UPFA has quit the government.

Under the 19 th Amendment Another Prime Minister cannot be sworn in and governing UNP  will fight against this unconstitutional act Prime minister Wikramasinghe has said. 

A Wild Elephant Had Been Killed Due To An Electrocution

A Wild Elephant had been killed after
colliding with an Unauthorised Power Line located at an Animal farm at Deegawapiya area in Ampara yesterday  (25)it has been reported.

Akkareipattu Police have arrested the Animal Farm owner regarding the death of Elephant.

An inquiry regarding the incident is being conducted jointly by the Akkareipattu Police and Wild Life officers in the area.

Former President Mahinda Rajapakshe Has Sworn In As Prime Minister

The swearing in taken place soon after the UPFA has announced its decision to quit the government.

Several Low Land Areas In Bagawanthalawa Had Been Submerged Due To Overflowing Of Keselgamuwa Oya

As a result of the overflowing of
Keselgamuwa Oya, several low land areas in Bagawanthalawa area had been submerged  last evening (25)it has been reported.

Keselgamuwa Oya had begun to overflow as a result of the heavy showers prevailed in the Maha Eliya reserve last  evening according to reports.

Water level of Castlereigh Reservoir too is on the increase as a result of the overflowing of Keselgamuwa oya authorities have stated.
