Jayasundsra has been questioned today (28)by a Three Member committee for nearly three hours over the allegations levelled against him on accepting Rs.20..2 million from a former Principle Of Trinity Collage as a bribe according to the Deputy Minister of Public Administration ,Management and Law and Order Nalin Bandara.

Addressing a Press Briefing held at United National Party (UNP) Headquarters in Colombo today ,The Deputy Minister has said that IGP Jayasundara has appeared before the Three Committee this morning in Colombo as per requested by the Committee and had given a statement for nearly three hours over the charges levelled against him.
The Committee was appointed by Minister Of Law and Order Ranjith Madduma Bandara to inquire on the Bribery charges levelled against IGP and the Committee report is scheduled to be handed over to the Minister shortly.
The future action against the IGP will be taken as per the recommendations of the Committee according to the Deputy Minister Bandara.
