Prime Minister Ranil Wikramasinghe Is Due To Leave Singapore Tomorrow(08)

Prime Minister Ranil Wikramasinghe is due to leave Singapore tomorrow(08)to   attend the 06 th 'Global City Summit "and several other Global Summits to be held in Singapore.

Ministers Sajith Premadasa,Malik Samarawikrama and Rauf Hakeem are due to accompany the Prime Minister in the tour.During his visit to Singapore Prime Minister Wikramasinghe is scheduled to deliver the keynote address of the "Global City Summit" titled "Urban Development And Protecting Enviornment" and due to hold bi lateral talks with Singaporean Prime Minister and higher officials of the government.

An Ammonia Gas Tank Exploded In Paliyagoda

An Ammonia Gas Tank stored in a Container Truck parked near a Fish trade stall in Paliyagoda had exploded last evening(06) it has been reported.The explosion occured as the  truck contains Ammonia Gas Tanks had toppled over the road .

However no one was injured due to the incident as the Container Truck Driver and his Assistant went out for lunch when the explosion has occurred.

As there is a risk of spreading the Ammonia Gas in the area ,Police have advised the public not to come close of the place where incident occurred. The fire brigade had arrived to douse a fire occurred.

Paliyagoda Police are conducting an investigation over the incident.

An Estate Worker Has Died Due To A Wasp Attack

A 57 year old Estate guide attached to an Estate in Dimbula-Pathana has died due to a wasp attack while engaged in work at mountworthen Estate in

Dimbula -Pathana Estate yesterday(06).

The critically injured was admitted to the Kotagala Provincial Hospital and had succumbed to his injuries while transferring to the Nawalapitiya Base Hospital.

Dimbula-Pathana Police are investigating over the incident.

A 24 Hour Water Cut To Be Implemented In Trinccomalee

Water Supply to four areas in Trincomalee will be suspended for 24 hours from 8 a.m on Monday(09) to 8 a.m on Tuesday(10) due to a laying  of a new pipe line in Mollipothana-Thambalagamuwa pipe line to stop a water leak there according to the National Water Supplies and Drainage Board.

Accordingly water supply to the Thambalagamuwa,Trincomalee Kinniya and one lane in Kuchchaweli areas will be suspended .
