Price Of A Domestic Gas Cylinder Decreased By Rs.138
Accordingly the new price of a 12.5 Kilo Gramme Domestic Gas Cylinder will be Rs.1538.
Prices of 5 Kilo Gramme and 2.3 Kilo Gramme Gas Cylinder prices too were reduced by Rs.55 and Rs.25 Respectivly with effect from midnight yesterday.The new prices cof a 5 KG Gas Cylinder is Rs.616 and 2.3 KG Gas Cylider is Rs.283 the Consumer Affairs Authority has stated.
As per the new Fuel Price Mechanism introduced by the government the price of a Domestic Gas Cylinder had increased by Rs.247 with effect from 27 th of April.
A Motorcyclist Was Killed Due To A Motorcycle-Tipper Collision
A Motorcyclist was killed after the Motorcycle he was riding
colliding with a Tipper Truck arrived in front while attempting to
overtake a Bus last evening (28) at Kaldiya in Puttalam -Kurunagala
Road.
The deceased was a resident of Unaweliya area in Madurankuliya,
Former JVP Leader Rohana Wijeweera's Wife Had Filed A Petition Demanding To Produce His Missing Husband To The Court

Peramuna(JVP-Peoples Liberation Front ) Rohana Wijeweera , Srimathi
Chitrangani Jayaweera has today(29) filed a Habaescorpus Petition at the
Court Of Appeal demanding the producing of her missing Husband who was
arrested by the Security forces during the 1989 terror period over
the revolution he had launched to any formal court in the country.
The petitioner
has also requested the Court of Appeal to issue a Court order requesting
an full inquiry over the whereabouts of her husband.
The petitioner has named 11 persons including the Attorney General as respondents of the case.
According
to the wife of Rohana Wijeweera the JVP Leader,her husband was arrested
by the Government Security Forces on 12th of November in 1989 at
Ulapane ,Matale and since then during last 29 years he was not produce
before a Court and the Government still not inform her whether her
husband is still live or not .
Ten Persons Were Remanded Over The Killing Of A Leopard In North
Ten suspects including a three who have surrendered to the
Kilinochchi Police today(29) regarding the brutal killing of a rare species of
Leopard at Ambalulam in Kilinochchi have been remanded until 03rd of
July by the Kilinochchi Magistrate Court today.
Seven
Suspects have been arrested and surrendered to the Police earlier over
the killing of a Leopard on 21st of June and Three suspects have been
surrendered to the Police over the incident today.
All of them were remanded until 03rd of July by the Kilinochchi Magistrate Court after been produced before the Court.
The suspects were identified through the video footage.
