A Person Was Arrested While Transporting A Stock Of Kerala Cannabis
Puliyankulama Police have arrested a 51 year old person while carrying a stock of Kerala Cannabis weighing 8.560 Kilo Grammes in a Bus traveling Jaffna to Kataragama last night (10) near Puliyankulama Police Station in Vavuniya .
Police have recovered the stock of Kerala Cannabis carried by the suspect which hidden inside a two suspected luggage's in the Bus .The estimated value of the stock of Kerala Cannabis taken in to custody in possession of the suspect is around Rs.1.8 million it has been revealed.
According to the Police .The suspect had purchased the stock of Kerala Cannabis from a Cannabis smuggler in Jaffna and transported to Kataragama at the time of his arrest.
The suspect is due to be produced before the Vavuniya Magistrate Court.

As soil mounds are continuously failing in to the Hatton-Nuwara-eliya main road due to the heavy showers prevailing in the area at present ,Transport activities of many places in the Main Road from Thalawakele to Nuwara-Ekiya have been restricted to one lane according to the Road Development Authority.
Road Development Authority has taken steps to remove the Soil Mounds fallen in to the Hatton-Nuwara-Eliya main Road .
Meanwhile Police have advised the Motorists to drive patiently in the Road with soil mounds.

A Female Was ARRESTED With A Stock Of Gold Jewelry Brought To The Country Illegally
A 54 year old Sri Lankan female was arrested by the Airport Customs officers with a stock of Gold Jewelry illegally brought to the country worth around Rs.8 million at the Katunayake,Bandaranaike International Airport in wee hours of this morning(11).
The suspected female who is a resident of Warakapola area and arrived at the Airport from Dubai hidden the stock of Gold Jewelry weighing around 1.300 Kilo Grammes in her cloths it has been revealed.
Customs are questioning the suspected female over the incident.
