Puliyankulama Police have arrested a 51 year old person while carrying a stock of Kerala Cannabis weighing 8.560 Kilo Grammes in a Bus traveling Jaffna to Kataragama last night (10) near Puliyankulama Police Station in Vavuniya .Police have recovered the stock of Kerala Cannabis carried by the suspect which hidden inside a two suspected luggage's in the Bus .The estimated value of the stock of Kerala Cannabis taken in to custody in possession of the suspect is around Rs.1.8 million it has been revealed.
According to the Police .The suspect had purchased the stock of Kerala Cannabis from a Cannabis smuggler in Jaffna and transported to Kataragama at the time of his arrest.
The suspect is due to be produced before the Vavuniya Magistrate Court.
