Army Soldier And Another Person Were Arrested Over Driving A Vehicle Under The Influence Of Liquor

Police have arrested an Army soldier
and another person over driving a vehicle under the  influence of liquor by avoiding the police at the check point in    Mahvilachchiya ,Anuradhapura last night(09).

Police have also taken into custody a stock of Lead and Cannabis in possession of the suspects who are residents of Mahavilachchiya and Kiripatiyawa areas.

The suspects are due to be produced before the court.

Electricity Supply Has Been Restored In Many Areas Hit By Power Failure Last Night

The power failure occurred in many areas including Galle,Matara ,Hambanthota and Ratnapura since last night (09) has been restored this morning(10) according to the Ministry of Power and Renewable Energy.

The power failure occurred due to a breaking down of a two power extension lines from New Lakshapana Power grid to sub grid Balangoda area.

A Person Was Arrested With A Stock Of Waste Tea

The Special Police Task Force personal
attached to Gampola Police have arrested a person while transporting 1920 Kilo Grammes of waste tea not suitable for human consumption yesterday(09)at the Punagala Junction in Davulagala area.

The suspect was handed over to the Davulagala Police station for further investigations on the incident.

Two Fishermen Who Had Gone For Fishing Have Been Found Missing

Two fishermen who had gone for
fishing from Thalaimannar area  last friday (08) have been reported as missing according to the Thalaimannar Police.

The family members of the missing fishermen who are residents of Thalaimannar area and of the ages 38 and 33 years ,had complaint on them to the police.

Accordingly Sri Lanka Navy have launched a search operation to find them it has been reported.
