A Buddhist Nun Was Passed Away Due To A Road ACCIDENT

A 65 year old Buddhist Nun (Bhikkuni)was passed away  after colliding with a Bus near the Bus Stand in Embilipitiya it has been reported.

The critically injured Buddhist  Nun had succumbed to her injuries after admission to the Embilipitiya Hospital.The deceased was identified as Bhikkuni Mithrani of Galle resided at  Dhammapradeeparamaya in Alawanguwa area.

The accident occurred while the Bus driver attempting to turn the Bus in to the Bus stand and Embilipitiya Police have arrested the driver regarding the accident.

A Sudden Fire Erupted In A Sewing Center At Cinnamon Gardens

A sudden fire erupted in a Sewing Center located at the second floor of the Three storied Building in Rosmeed Place,Cinnamon Gardens early this morning (05)had doused jointly by the Fire Brigade of Colombo Municipal Council and Cinnamon Gardens Police .

The cause of the fire not yet been revealed and Cinnamon Gardens Police are conducting an investigations over the incident.

All Pre Schools In Matara To Be Closed Until 10th Of June

All pre schools in Matara District will be closed for a five day period from today(05) up to 10th of June due to the Influenza flu spreading in the Southern Province it has been announced.

The School Development Association of Matara District has stated that the Association has decided to close all Pre Schools for five more days in addition to the Southern Provincial Education Ministry's decision to close them until today (05) as a safety measure.
