A Van Had Fallen In To A Precipice In Thalawakale Due To The Adverse Weather-No One Was Injured

A Van was severely damaged after toppling over to a precipice around 25 feet deep at Thalawakale -Holyroodwatte  area in Thalawakele -Pundaluoya main road this evening (04).

No one in the Van which  traveling from Watagoda to Thalawakale was injured due to the incident according to reports.

The accident was occurred due to a slippery condition of the road caused by the Adverse Weather the Thalawakele Police have stated,

A Motorcyclist Was Killed Due To A Motorcycle-Train Engine Collison

A Motorcyclist was killed on the spot after the Motorcycle he was riding colliding
with a Train Engine at Ambalangoda -Kahawa Uduwaragoda unprotected railway crossing last night (03).

The deceased Motorcyclist who was a resident of Akuraladuwa in Ambalangoda faced this incident while attempting cross the unprotected Railway crossing  and as a result his Motorcycle had collided with a Train Engine running from Colombo to Galle it has been revealed.

The Two gate keepers who are  due to be in duty yesterday were absent at the time of the incident.

Two Persons Were Arrested With More Than 55 Grammes Of Heroin

Police have yesterday(03) arrested two persons with 55.230 Grammes of Heroin in their possession at Borella and Mount Lavinia areas according to the Police Media Spokesman's Office.
The two suspects who are residents of Halgahakumbura in Borella and Badowita in Mount Lavinia are scheduled to be produced before the Maligakande and Mount Lavinia Magistrate Courts.

Wife And Daughter Of The Eastern Province Governor Who Were Surrendered To The Court Released On Bail

Image result for court orderThe wife and the daughter of Eastern Province Governor Rohita Bogollagama who were charged on attempting to assault a female and grab Rs.25,000 belongs to her have been surrendered to the Colombo Chief Magistrate Court this morning (04).

However afterwards the Colombo Chief Magistrate Ranga Dissanayake had released them on surety bails of Rs.100,00 each 

The Colombo Chief Magistrate Court had ordered the Police to arrest the two suspected females  on last Friday (01)over not appearing before the court to face a case filed against them at the court by  Cinamon Gardens Police over the incident.

Ratnapura-Nivithigala Main Road Was Closed Due To Adverse Weather

Related imageThe Ratnapura-Nivithigala Main road has been  closed due to a sinking risk of Kambadola Bridge in the road and as a result all Transport activities of the road have been suspended it has been reported.

The Kambadola Bridge is  being risk of sinking due to the Adverse Weather prevails in the area .Motorists are being advised to use an alternative routes when traveling.


The 100 year old Bridge was built by the British rulers and according to the Road Development Authority the Bridge can be renovated and open within two weeks if the weather improves.
