Three Persons Were Sentenced To Death Over A Murder In 2001
Three persons who have found guilty over a murdering a person on 05th of November 2001 at Nawagampura,Colombo have been sentenced to death by the Colombo High Court Judge Vikum Kaluarachchi today(18).
The three accused have found guilty over stabbed a person by knife at Nawagampura,Colombo after a brawl .

Former Timber Corporation Chairman Anurudda Polgampola Was Released On Bail
Kilinochchi Magistrate Court has today (18) released the former Chairman of the State Timber Corporation for a short period,Anurudda Polgampola who was arrested by the Criminal Investigations Department (CID) officers last Wednesday (16) over Rs.8 ,million financial fraud ,on bail .
The suspect was released on Rs.500.000 surety bail after been produced before the court today and the Magistrate has also imposed a foreign tour ban over him.

Immigration And Emigration Officers Called Off Thier Trade Union Action
The Immigration and Emigration officers have called off their work to rule campaign which launched since midnight last night (17) by demanding solutions for three of their service demands including making a service minute for them temporarily ,after Minister S.B Navinna has made a written promise to them that he will submit a Cabinet Paper on their demands to the Cabinet next Tuesday(22).
The immigration and Emigration Officers attached to the Katunayake Airport had called off their strike this morning after Minister's Promise it has been revealed.
