A new uniform has been introduced to
the Family Health officers in Sri Lanka by the Ministry of Health yesterday(05) during the commemorating ceremony of the International Family Health Day held in Polonnaruwa.
Accordingly the traditional white frock uniform worn by the family health officers will be replaced with a short sleeve Blouse and a trouser both in white color it has been announced.The circular regarding the introduction of the new uniform was issued yesterday by the Health Minister Dr.Rajitha Senaratne during the ceremony held yesterday under the patronage of President Maithripala Sirisena.
During the ceremony The Health Minister has stated that a cabinet memorandum will be submitted to get an approval to provide motorcycles to fanily health officers who have not received them previously .
