Three Persons Including A Wild Life Officer Were Injured Due To A Wild Elephant Attack
A wild Life officer and two civilians
were injured and hospitelized due to a Wild Elephant attack at Allimul village in Nindavur-Samanthurai in Ampara yesterday(15).
The Injured were admitted to the Ampara Hospital for treatment and the critically injured Wild Life officer had been transferred to Kandy Teaching Hospital for further treatment.
They have faced this incident while attempting to chase away a group of Wild Elephants entered the Allimul village yesterday.
Later few famillies of the village have been moved to safe places due to the Wild Elephant tbreat.

A Father And Son Were Killed -Mother Was Injured Due To A Road Accident
A father and his four year old son were
killed and the Mother was injured and hospitalized after the Motor Car they were travelling in toppled over to a 100 feet deep precipice at Wellawaya in Ella -Badulla last evening(15).
The injured mother was admitted to the Badulla General Hospital for treatment.

Four Persons Were Hospitalized With Burn Injuries Due To A Bus-Three Wheeler Collision
Four persons including a nine month
old female infant were received serious burn injuries and hospitalized after the Three Wheeler they were travelling in colliding with a Private bus and caught fire at Mirijjawila Junction ,Sisilagama in Hambanthota today(16).
The injured who are members of a same family(Mother,father and their 8 year and 9 month old children ) and residents of Hasalaka area have been admitted to the Hambanthota Hospital for treatment.
Both the Private Bus and the Three Wheeler had caught fire due to the collision it has been revealed.
Ambalanthota Police are conducting an investigations over the incident..

Former Sports Minister Mahindananda Aluthgamage Was Arrested And Released-Later Again Remanded
The former Sports Minister
Mahindananda Aluthgamage has been arrested by the Police Financial Crimes Investigations Division(FCID) this morning(16)over misusing of state funds during the previous regime .
Later he was released on Two personal bails of Rs.500,000 each and a cash bail of Rs.35,000 by the Colombo Fort Magistrate Court Lanka Jayaratne after being produced before her.However as the former Sports Minister Aluthgamage not been able to hand over his passport to the court as a bail condition he was remanded by the Magistrate until tomorrow(17) .
The passport of the imprisoned former Minister was in custody of the Colombo High Court in respect of another case filed against him in that court.So he had unable to handover the Passport to the Colombo Fort Magistrate as requested it has been revealed.
