Two Houses Destroyed Due To A Fire In Nawalapitiya

Two  houses were destroyed one was fully and other partially  due to a sudden fire erupted in a Labour Housing scheme belonging to the Nawalapitiya Urban Council this morning(02).

The fire was doused by the residents and neighbors of the area  it has been revealed.No casualties had reported due to the fire as the residents were away from the houses at the time of the incident.

The residents believed that  an Electrical Leak may have cause the fire.

Fly Dubai Passanger Flight Delaying Flying Dubai Via Mattala Airport Due To Collision With A Bird

A "Fly Dubai "passenger Flight FZ-551 with 113 passengers in board ,which began it's Journey to Dubai from Katunayake,Bandaranaike International Airport this morning(02) had delayed the flight from flying to Dubai from Mattala ,International Airport in Hambanthota after a Bird colliding with the left engine of the Plane while it's  landing  in Mattala according to reports.

The Flight was scheduled to fly to Dubai after picking up another 55 passengers from Mattala Airport  this morning ,However after the bird collided with one of the engines of the Plane authorities have decided to check the status of the plane through an Aircraft Engineer before the flight taking off from the airport.

However the Airport authorities have failed to bring any Aircraft Engineer from Colombo to Mattala   for the checking till this afternoon and as a result the passengers of the plane have standard in Mattala Airport for long hours   and are being faced severe difficulties it has been reported.

A 22 Year Old Had Drowned In Mahaweli River

Related imageA 22 year resident of Bahirawakande,Kandy has drowned while bathing in Mahaweli River at Kundasale-Kandy area yesterday(01).

The deceased had drowned while bathing with three of his friends it has been revealed.

Pallekale Police are conducting an investigations over the death.

Four Members Of The Same Family Have Been Killed Due To A Three Wheeler -Lorry Collison


Four members of a same family including a Mother,Father ,Daughter and a Son have been killed after the Three Wheeler they were traveling in colliding with a Lorry (head on collision) at Galewela area on Dambulla -Kurunagala-main road early this morning (02).
Image result for accidentThe deceased were identified as residents of Attanagalla area and their bodies are being at Dambulla and Galewela Hospitals.

Galewela Police have arrested the Lorry Driver regarding the incident.The 29 year old son of the deceased family was driving the Three Wheeler at the time of the accident and as he had fallen a sleep the accident occurred according to the Police.

Five Member New Board Of Directors Appointed To The Sri Lankan Airlines

Besides the Chairman Ranjith Perera,Dr.Roshan Perera ,Mano Thiththawella,Air Marshal Kapila Jayampathi and Susantha Katugampola were appointed as other Directors according to the Ministry Of Finance And Mass Media .

Former DIG Vaas Gunawardane Who Is In A Death Row And Four Others Were Released On Bail Over Keeping Firearms In Possession Illegally

Image result for vaas gunawardaneFormer Deputy Inspector General Of Police (DIG)Vaas Gunawardane who is in a death row over the abduction and killing of a Colombo based Businessman was ordered to release on bail along with four other suspects who are in prison over the charge leveled against them on keeping firearms in possession illegally today(02) by the Colombo High Court.

The five suspects including the former DIG Gunawardane were produced before the court today as the case against them over the charges had taken up for hearing .

Colombo High Court has ordered to release the five suspects over the charge on keeping firearms illegally in their possession on  personal bail of Rs,200,000 each  and a cash bail of Rs.10,000 each after considering the revised bail application submitted by the suspects.

However the death penalty imposed over  former DIG Vaas Gunawardane on abducting and killing of Businessman Mohommad Siyam will still effective according to the sources.
