Four Members Of The Same Family Have Been Killed Due To A Three Wheeler -Lorry Collison
Four members of a same family including a Mother,Father ,Daughter and a Son have been killed after the Three Wheeler they were traveling in colliding with a Lorry (head on collision) at Galewela area on Dambulla -Kurunagala-main road early this morning (02).
The deceased were identified as residents of Attanagalla area and their bodies are being at Dambulla and Galewela Hospitals.
Galewela Police have arrested the Lorry Driver regarding the incident.The 29 year old son of the deceased family was driving the Three Wheeler at the time of the accident and as he had fallen a sleep the accident occurred according to the Police.
Five Member New Board Of Directors Appointed To The Sri Lankan Airlines
A five member new Board Of Directors chaired by Ranjith Fernando has been appointed today(02) to the Sri Lankan Airlines.
Besides the Chairman Ranjith Perera,Dr.Roshan Perera ,Mano Thiththawella,Air Marshal Kapila Jayampathi and Susantha Katugampola were appointed as other Directors according to the Ministry Of Finance And Mass Media .

Former DIG Vaas Gunawardane Who Is In A Death Row And Four Others Were Released On Bail Over Keeping Firearms In Possession Illegally
Former Deputy Inspector General Of Police (DIG)Vaas Gunawardane who is in a death row over the abduction and killing of a Colombo based Businessman was ordered to release on bail along with four other suspects who are in prison over the charge leveled against them on keeping firearms in possession illegally today(02) by the Colombo High Court.
The five suspects including the former DIG Gunawardane were produced before the court today as the case against them over the charges had taken up for hearing .
Colombo High Court has ordered to release the five suspects over the charge on keeping firearms illegally in their possession on personal bail of Rs,200,000 each and a cash bail of Rs.10,000 each after considering the revised bail application submitted by the suspects.
However the death penalty imposed over former DIG Vaas Gunawardane on abducting and killing of Businessman Mohommad Siyam will still effective according to the sources.
