Ranjith Madduma Bandara Had Been Sworn In As Minister Of Law And Order

Image result for ranjith madduma bandara sworn in as law and order ministerUnited National Party (UNP) MP Ranjith Madduma Bandara had been sworn in as the important Law and Order Minister before President Maithripala Sirisena this morning(08) although public opinion polls revealed that the former Army Commander and Current Minister Field Marshal Sarath Fonseka should be given the post .

Prime Minister Ranil Wikramasinghe was sworn in as the Minister Of Law and Order during the recent Cabinet Reshuffle and there were speculations that the Field Marshal will be given the post as Prime Minister him self several times had requested the President Sirisena to appoint him.

However due to the influence of some top Ministers of previous  government Field Marshal Fonseka was not given the post it has been revealed.

A 71 Year Old American Resident Was Killed Due To An Assault

Image result for assaultA 71 year old Tamil National who was an American Resident was killed due to an assault of another person at Kanakapuram in Kilinochchi area on last Tuesday(06) it has been revealed.

The deceased American Resident who had returned Sri Lanka recently to inspect his land in Kilinochchi was assaulted by someone else in the Tuesday nigh after sprinkling Chille Powder int o his face according to rports.

The critically injured person had succumbed to his injuries yesterday (07) after admitting to Kilinochchi Hospital.

Some People Accessed The Blocked Social Media Sites And Apps Through Various Methods It Has Been Revealed

Image result for face book whats appAlthough the Government had temporarily blocked the accessing to Several Social Media sites and Apps to prevent spreading of racist and hatred posts among communities after considering the situation in Kandy District ,Some people aere being managed to access to these blocked sited by using verioud methods with the help of Modrn technology authorities have revealed.

However those who are accessing to these Sites and Apps can be identified easily through the Technology they had stated.

Meanwhile Higher Police Officials had informed the Prime Minister Ranil Wikramasinghe during a meeting held at Prime Minister's Official residence "Temple Trees" this morning (09) that the blocking of Social Media sites and Apps had helped the authorities to calm down the situation in trouble hit Kandy District greatly .

During last 18 hours no incident has been reported from Kandy Administrative District according to reports.

Curfew Imposed In Kandy Was Lifted This Morning And To Be Re-Imposed This Evening-Main Suspect Behind The Violence Was Arrested

The Curfew which was extended last morning (07) due to few violent incidents in katugasthota and Ambathanne areas in Kandy Administrative area was lifted at 10 a.m this morning (08) and scheduled to be re-imposed at 6 a.m this evening according to Police Media Spokesman SP Ruwan Gunasekare.

The re -imposed Curfew in Kandy Administrative area will be lasted until 6 a.m tomorrow(09) and Curfew has been re imposed to keep law and order in Kandy District SP Gunasekare has stated.

Meanwhile during the raids carried out by the  Security forces in Kandy ten persons including the main suspect who was behind the violent activities in several areas at Kandy were arrested it has been revealed.All suspects are outsiders who are not the residents of Kandy sources have said.

It has been reported that the Security Personal were deployed in Welimada area as well last night to prevent any racist activities there.
