A 65 Year Old Person Was Killed After Colliding With Two Vehicles

A 65 year old person was killed after colliding with a
Motor Car and run over by a Jeep at Battaramulle Junction last morning (06).

The deceased was firstly injured after  colliding  with a Motor Car while crossing the road at  Battaramulle Junction and after the Motorist fled away from the scene ,the injured was run over by a Jeep it has been revealed.

The identity of the deceased has not yet been revealed and the Thalangama Police have launched an investigation to arrest the Motorist who was responsible for the accident.

Lawyers Of The Two Suspects Arjun Aloysius And Kasun Palisena Who Were Remanded Over The Central Bank Bond Scam Filed Bail Applications For Their Clients

Arjun Aloysius and Chief Executive Officer of the Company Kasun Palisena who are in remand over their involvement of the Central Bank bond scam ,had today (08)filed written docuements in Colombo Fort Magistrate Court seeking bail for their clients.

Colombo Fort Magistrate Lanka Jayaratne has instructed the lawyers of the two suspects to file written docuements seeking bail for their clients before 09th of February.The Magistrate is due to deliver her verdict over the bail application on 16th of February.

The two suspects of the Central Bank Bond Scam were remanded until 16th of February.

Brigadier Priyanka Fernando Who Had Temporarily Removed From Defense Adviser Post In Sri Lankan High Commission In London ,Reinstated In His Post As Per Directive Of The President

Brigadier Priyanka  Fernando who had been temporarily removed from the post he held as Defense Adviser to the Sri Lankan High Commissioner in United Kingdom by the Foreign Ministry yesterday(06) over a video circulated in Websites and Social Media showing that he pointed a throat cut to a group of Tamil Diaspora Protestors who were conducted a protest campaign in front of the Sri Lankan Embassy in London United Kingdom during the Sri Lanka's Independence Day (04th of February)in support of the Tamil Eelam, is reinstated in  post as per the directive of President Maithripala Sirisena according to the Sri Lanka Army.

President Sirisena has ordered the Foreign Affairs Ministry to revoke it's decision to suspend Brigadier Fernando who is one of the Sri Lankan war heroes during the Civil war against LTTE in Northern Sri Lanka and reinstate him in his post after the Army Commander Lieutenant General  Mahesh Senanayake had discussed  the issue with President it has been stated.

Army Commander Lineament General Senannayake has pointed out that Brigadier Fernando cannot be removed from the post just by considering   a video circulated in the internet.

Sri Lanka Army had already begun an investigation over the incident involved by Brigadier Priyanka Fernando after the Foreign Affairs Ministry had ordered the Sri Lankan Ambassador to United Kingdom to suspend the Brigadier from the post over the incident.

Two Persons Were Killed And Two Others Were Injured Due To A Three Wheeler -Van Collision

Image result for ACCIDENTTwo persons were killed and another Two were critically injured and hospitalized after the Three Wheeler they were traveling in colliding with a Van at Pahalawelgama area on Bulathsinghale-Mathugama road .

The four critically injured persons were admitted to  the Bulathsinghale Hospital for treatment soon after the Injury where two of them including the  Three Wheeler Driver had succumbed to their injuries on admission.

The deceased were identified as 31 and 41 year old persons resided in Mahagama area.Bulathsinghale Police have arrested the Van Driver regarding the incident.
