An Examination Officers Have Nabbed An Individual Who Sat For The G.C.E O/L Examination Behalf Of His Friend

An Examination Officers have today(21) nabbed an individual who had sat for the G.C.E Ordinary Level examination currently underway throughout the Island  behalf of his friend with a forged Identity Card at an Examination Center in a Piliyandala School.

He was nabbed while preparing to answer the paper scheduled for today on Geology it has bee reported.

The suspect who had pasted his Photograph in the picture box of the National Identity Card belonging to his friend who is the real Candidate  and sat for nine Subjects of the Exam during the past week except Drama and Acting papers with the forged Identity Card it has been revealed.

The Examination Officers however nabbed the suspect today and handed over him to the Piliyandala Police for further investigations.

Two Females Were Arrested With 40 Whisky Bottles At Katunayake Airport

Airport Customs Officers have arrested two Sri Lankan  females arrived in from Italy with around 40 Whisky Bottles in their possession this morning(21) at the Katunayake.Bandaranaike International Airport.

The estimated value of the Whisky Bottles taken in to custody in possession of the suspected females is around Rs.193,750 according to the Customs. 

The females are residents of Marawila and Ja-Ela areas of the ages 33 and 32 years old it has been revealed.

There Is A Link Between Sri Lankan Tea Ban Imposed By Russia And Lifting The Ban Of Using Asbestos-Minister Navin Dissanayake

There is a link between the lifting of the  ban 
temporarily which scheduled to be imposed on using of Asbestos Sheets with effect from 01st of January 2018 and the Tea ban imposed on Sri Lanka by Russia according to an unofficial reports the Minister of Plantations Navin Dissanayake has stated today (20).

Russia is the main buyer of Sri Lankan Tea and Sri Lanka imports Asbestos raw materials mainly from Russia the Minister has stated during a Cabinet press briefing held in Colombo today.

However a team lead by Minister of Science, Technology and Research Susil Premjayantha due to leave Russia shortly to inspect the hygiene of the white Asbestos products in Russia he has stressed.
