A 36 Year Old Person Was Critically Injured And Hospitalized Due To A Gun Shooting At Hikkaduwa

A 36 year old person has been critically injured and hospitalized due to a Gun Shooting incident  at Kumarakanda area in Hikkaduwa (Southern Province) this noon(05).

The injured person had been admitted to the Arachchikande  Hospital with injuries and taker transferred to the Intensive Care Unit of the Karapitiya Teaching Hospital for treatment.

Two Unidentified persons arrived in a Motorcycle had shot at the person who came to Kumarakande area from Anuradhapura to a requirement of his.The reason behind the Gun shooting has not yet been revealed.

Police are currently investigating  to arrest the two suspects who were responsible for the Gun shooting.

Police Have Arrested A 43 Year Old Person With A Haul Of Heroin

Habarana Police had arrested a 43 year old person with 06 grammes and 72 Mili Grammes of Heroin in his possession at Indigaswewa in Habarana area. 

The suspect has been identified as a resident of Valachchcena area.He is due to be produced before the Kekirawa Magistrate Court today(05).

Eight Female Sex Workers And Their Manager Arrested In A Brothal House At Piliyandala

Piliyandala Police had raided a Brothal House 

maintained on the pretext of an Ayurveda Massage Center (SPA) at a two storied rented house in Moratuwa Road,Piliyandala and arrested eight female sex workers and their manager it has been reported.

The arrested female sex workers are residents of Hikkaduwa,Ampara,Inginiyagala and Dambulla areas of the ages 20-25 years old.

They are due to be produced before the Kesbawa Magistrate Court.
