Bond Commission Had Requested Prime Minister To Appear Before The Commission On Monday (20)

Image result for bond commissionThe Presidential Commission Of Inquiry investigating on the Central Bank Bond Scam had requested the Prime Minister Ranil Wikramasinghe to appear before the Commission on next Monday(20) to provide evidence regarding the Bond Scam.

Prime Minister Wikramasinghe had already submitted a testimony through an affidavit to the Commission .

However Prime Minister has stated recently that he would like to appear before the Bond Commission and give evidence if the Commission requested him to do so.Prime Minister's Office too stated that the PM  has no objection over appearing before the commission.

Trains Commenced From Maradana And Fort Railway Stations Are Delayed Due To A Signal Failure

Image result for train signal systemThe Railway Control Room has announced this evening(16) that all Trains commenced from Maradana and Colombo Fort Railway Stations will be delayed due to a Signal Failure.

Due to the Train delay thousands of Office workers are being faced severe difficulties it has been reported.

Railway Authorities are currently taking steps to repair the failed Signal Systems of Maradana and Colombo Fort Railway stations it has been announced. 

Two Houses Completely Destroyed Due To A Sudden Fire In Hatton

Image result for fireTwo houses were completely destroyed and One House was partially damaged  due to a sudden fire erupted in a Housing scheme at Welioya Estate in Hatton this morning(16).

The fire Brigade attached to the Hatton Urban Council,Hatton Police Officers and Estate Workers have doused the fire .

No casualties have  been reported due to the fire ,However three families who were displaced as a result  of their houses affected by the fire have been moved to temporary shelters by the Estate Owners.

Electricity Board  has taken steps to disconnect the Electricity supply to the whole housing scheme in the estate to prevent further damage.

The cause of the fire not yet been revealed.

Ten Indian Fishermen Were Arrested Along With Their Boat In Sri Lankan Waters

Sri Lanka Navy had arrested Ten Indian Fishermen who were illegally entered the Sri Lankan waters in Northern territory for fishing last night(15) along with the Trawler Boat  they were in.

Navy Officers had also taken in to custody a stock of Fish the Indian Fishermen who arrived in from Southern India captured from Sri Lankan waters.The arrested fishermen and the Boat have been handed over to the Assistant Fisheries Inspector in Jaffna for future course of action.
