Australian Prime Minister Malcolm Turnbull To Visit Sri Lanka On Thursday (02)

Australian Prime Minister Malcolm Turbnbull is due to
arrive in Sri Lanka on Thursday (02) for an official visit to mark the 70th anniversary of the bi lateral ties between Sri Lanka and Australia according to the Australian Embassy in Colombo.

During the visit Australian Prime Minister is due to hold bi lateral talks with President Maithripala Sirisena and Prime Minister Ranil Wikramasinghe by especially focussing on stengthening economic ties between the two countries it has been announced.

Australian Prime Minister is also expecting to discuss with Sri Lankan leaders on how  to prevent human smuggling among two countries and prevent international crimes together.

An All Party Conference And All Religious Leaders Summit Will Be Held To Get Ideas And Suggestions Regarding The New Constitution-President

An All Party Conference and All Religious Leaders
Summit will be held soon  to get ideas and suggestions on the proposed new constitution according to the President Maithripala Sirisena.

After consulting all Party leaders representing  Parliament and Religious Leaders,a conference on intellectuals and academics who are interested on the new constitution will be recalled to get their ideas on the proposed constitution President Sirisena has said while addressing  a national summit organized by the Ministry of National Reconcilliation,Debate and State Languages at the Sugathadasa Indoor Stadium yesterday (30).

President Sirisena has stressed that he is expecting solutions for most of the problems arisen regarding the proposed new constitution during these conferences and summits .

Anuradhapura Special Court Has Sentenced A Female 21 Year Rigorous Imprisonment Over Sexually Assaulting Her Relative son

Anuradhapura Special Court has today (30)sentenced

an Aunt a 21 year rigorous imprisonment over severely sexually molesting a 15 year old relative son between the period 10th of July 2007 to 31st of June 2008 at Maradankadawala in Anuradhapura High Court area.

Attorney General has indicted the accused female over the charges and filed a case against her at Anuradhapura Special High Court on three charges.

The accused female has been sentenced a 21 year rigorous imprisonment to be served in 07 years by the  Anuradhapura Special Court.

This is the first time in Sri Lanka"s  High court history that a female had been sentenced such a long term prison sentence  ,a 21 year rigorous imprisonment over sexually molesting a minor boy.

UNP MP Ranjan Ramanayake Has Been Removed From UNP's Divulapitiya Organizer Post

Actor turned politician MP Ranjan Ramanayake has
been removed from the position he held as the United National Party (UNP) organizer of Divulapitiya by the UNP.

Accordingly former Provincial Councilor Kithsiri Manchanayake has been appointed as the new UNP Organizer of Divulapitiya.

The reason behind the removal of MP Ranjan Ramanayake from Divulapitiya organizer post has not yet been revealed.However MP Ramanayake is facing a legal case over contempt of Court charges at Supreme Court.

UNP Leader and Prime Minister Ranil Wikramasinghe has today (30) handed over appointment letters to 34 newly elected UNP Organizers at a function held in UNP Headquarters in "Sirikotha" today (30).

Two STF Sub Inspectors Were Killed And A Female Was Injured Due To Motor Car-Train Collision

Image result for accident train sketchesTwo sub inspectors attached to the Special Task Force(STF) were killed and a female has been critically injured and hospitalized due to a Motor Car they were traveling in collided with a train traveling from Matara to Maradna at a  railway crossing in  Andagala , Ambalangoda  between Ambalangoda and Balapitiya area this evening(30).

The injured female is wife of one of the Sub Inspectors who was killed due to the accident it has been revealed.
