Four Sri Lankans Went To Italy And Germany Through Fraudulant Docuements Had Arrested And Deported

Four Sri Lankans who went to Italy and Germany
through fraudulant docuements and passports belonging to someone else had been arrested and deported to Sri Lanka by the authorities in those countries.

The four deported persons who had arrived in Katunayake,Bandaranaike International Airport this morning (28) had been arrested by the Criminal Investigations Department (CID) officials at the Airport premises it has been reported.

The suspects who are residents of Point Pedro,Trincomalee and Jaffna had been remanded until 30th of October by the acting Magistrate of Minuwangoda after they have been produced before the court today.

CID officers have informed the Minuwangoda acting Magistrate that they will investigate on the Immigration and Emmigration officials who were on duty at the Airport when the four suspects went abroad.

Police Narcotic Bureau Had Arrested Two Persons With A Haul Of Heroin

Police Narcotics Bureau officers had arrested two
persons including A Sri Lankan national and a Pakistani National with 01 Kilo Gramme and 669 Grammes of Heroin in  possession of the Pakistani national  in Wellawatte area last evening (27).

The haul of Heroin had concealed inside the luggage of the Pakistani National it has been revealed.The estimated value of the haul of Heroin is around Rs. 1.5 billion.

After being produced before the Mount Lavinia Magistrate Court today (28)the court granted permission to authorities  to question the two suspects

Bond Commission To Get Evidence From CID Officers Regarding The Bond Scam

The special presidential commission Of Inquiry 
inquiring on Central Bank Bond scam is due to conduct a special session on 02nd of November to get evidence from the Police Officers attached to Criminal Investigations Department (CID) who investigated on the Bond scam.

The duration of the Commission which expired recently has been extended by the President Maithripala Sirisena until 08th of December this year.

A Dog Was Killed And A Trade Stall Destroyed Due To A Sudden Fire

A dog was killed and a a trade stall in Kaduwela area
had completely destroyed  due to a sudden fire erupted inside the stall last Thursday (26) night.

The fire brigade attached to the Colombo Urban Council along with the police have doused the fire after the residents of the area had failed to douse it.
