Cabinet Paper Sumitted To Take Over 480 Estate Sector Hospitals To The Government

Health Minister Dr.Rajitha Senratne had submitted a Cabinet Paper to the Cabinet to take over 480 Estate Sector  Hospitals to the Government from Estate Companies according to the Health Ministry.

After receiving Cabinet approval for the Cabinet Paper ,Health Ministry has planned to develop the  Estate Hospitals identified as need to develop the Ministry has stated.

Acting Bambalapitiya Grama Sewa Officer And His Assistant Arrested Over Accepting A Bribe Had Been Remanded

The acting Grama Sewa Officer in Bambalapitiya and

his assistant  who were arrested by the Bribery Commission officials yesterday (23)over accepting a Rs.20,000 as a bribe to enter a person's name to a electoral register had been remanded until 07th of November by the Colombo Chief Magistrate today (24).

Acvordingly the acting Grama Sewa Officer Chandana Bandara Ekanayake and his assistant Rengasamy  Chandrakumara have been remanded after being produced before the Colombo Chief Magistrate Lal Ranasinghe Bandara.
