Two Persons In Grandpass Arrested Over Keeping Kerala Cannabis In Their Possession

Special police task force personal had today
(20)arrested two persons with a stock  of Kerala Cannabis in their possession and a person who attempted to offer Rs.300,000 as a bribe to the police to release the suspects  in Mahawatte at Grandpass area.

Accordingly a male was arrested with 2.5 Kilo grammes of Kerala Cannabis and a female was arrested with 2.5 grammes of the same  narcotic in their possession and another person was arrested after attempting to bribe the police by offering Rs.400,000.

The suspects are residents of Grandpass and Pethiyagoda areas and they were  handed over to the Grandpass police it has been reported.

The suspects are due to be produced before the court.

Heavy Traffic Reported In Colombo-Kandy Road Due To A Bursting Of A Pipe Line

Related imageHeavy Traffic had been reported on Kandy-Colombo road since this morning(20) due to a bursting  of an internal pipe line near the BO Tree at Kadawatha.

Due to the bursting of the pipe line , water supply to Ganemulle road,Kiribathgoda-Pushparamaya road,Gonahena Road,Ragama Road and Kadawatha City  has been suspended for 16 hours according to the National Water Supplies And Drainage Board.

The heavy traffic still prevails in  lane where the vehicles arriving in to Colombo on Colombo-Kandy road.

Special Police Team Arrested Arambepola Rathanasara Thero Over His Obstructive Behavior Against Rohingya Refugees

Image result for arambepola rathanasara theroA special Police team attached to the Police Headquarters had today(20) arrested the Arambepola Rathanasara Thero who had been hidden from Police over one month ,over an obstructive behavior he shown in front of the house in Mount Lavinia where the Rohingya Refugees were kept in last month.

The thero had arrested while returning from Kandy to Colombo in a Bus at Nittambuwa area.

Police have searched him to arrest over the protest he led against Rohingya refugees in Mount Lavinia during past month.Akmeemana Dayarathna Thero had arrested over the same office and later released on bail.
